My goal as a member of Toledo City Council is to be at the forefront of this city's revitalization. It is my sincere belief that we can make good on our promise that “You will do better in Toledo” by investing in our citizens. At present, over a quarter of our citizens live in poverty, home ownership is on the decline, income inequality on the rise, and Lucas County has some of the highest rates of violent crime in the state. However, I know that we - as a community - can pull together to turn these challenges into opportunities for growth.

My plan is to direct investment into historically underserved neighborhoods across the city - building affordable housing, upgrading infrastructure, reducing blight, bolstering community services, and supporting local business. The citizens of Toledo work hard and deserve to live in communities where they can raise a family knowing that they are safe and can get their needs met in their own neighborhood. By creating a local economy where everyone has a seat at the table, we can build a brighter future together.
